Some other people probably know more.. All I know is that it went down some half a year ago as Dena announced a big overhaul. It seems like that overhaul isn't coming any time soon as most of the features are still unavailable.

yeah that is pretty much the jist of it.. went down somewhere in Oct and just never fully came back up from what I heard Dena had some family issues she needed to work out and just didnt make it back to doing it I hope she is alright and people dont get the wrong idea I think it was more of an emergency I dont want to start any rumors or what not but yeah that is just the impression I got I hope she is doing well and that she might be able to get to site soon

I think you are all pretty right. I think it really all slowly started happening when the admins/mods would hardly log onto outminds anymore and members started noticing it because of slow response times to messages and picture approval, forum abuse, etc. And then the site would be down for a lil while and when it came back up, people forgot to come back. And to top things off, all the problems were happening in the middle of the school year which is a time when outminds is not as active. So when people started coming back a few months ago after the "big void" they were like "Jigga wha?! What happened to Outminds?!" and I'm like, "Yeah Yo! Where ya been?!" and they're like "Flava Flav!" and I'm like "Fo reals yo!"

Oh, and then (as it was stated before) Dena had to deal with family issues and obviously we all want her to take care of her family first. No matter how much we love the interwebs, family is just too important to forget about. And now we are here...on openmynds..waiting for OM to come back. *shrug*

All the old posts and forums would be safe. They're stored in a database. :) 

yay that is a plus I just cant wait to see them cause there is one I posted that I loved and I cant find where I had it written down kinda taught me to back up all my work on disks and what not now

too bad we can't just take the database and hook it up here. =P

Um, she wouldn't do that. I assume she'd be very protective of it. What's more, I'm not sure if she uses the same type as we do. For instance, I know that OM uses ColdFusion instead of PHP, which we use, to generate the content. So yeah. That would be a "no" lol.

We'll just have to create new, even more awesome content.  No that I don't want the old things back....luckily I think I saved most of my favorite things.

New, even more awesome content, it is! Although, there were some good times back at OM... Methinks we should sneakily download their content somehow... hmm..

oh people, you should totally check out www.archive.org. I sometimes use it to look at the past OM :-P I know, I'm dorky, but just seeing the old forums never fails to bring a smile to my face :-D

I miss outminds a lot. It helped me so much. Looking back at where I was before I met the people I did on there. My couple best friends I met on there. It was an amazing place. Will be missed much until... well, hopefully it will be back someday.
