Anime?

Anime?
LOL ok, so some ppl might've already concluded that i probably like anime *points to display pics*.. but who else here likes to watch it???   I'm currently watching a series called "Kyou Kara Maou" and "Junjou Romantica".. tho i havn't found the manga for them yet :P

Hrm, I've watched a few anime shows, but not that many. Castle in the Sky? Spirited Away? Karas? Anyone??

...
lol i've heard of "Princess Mononoke and Spirited away, but havn't heard of Karas yet lol whats it about la~??
It's kind of sort of the anime version of batman, but not. erm. It was a series I believe and then they made three or so movies. I've seen the first two, since they've already been translated to English. XD Here's a link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karas_(anime)

oh oh I love Princess Monanoke and Naussica was very interesting as well but other than that I have not really gotten into Anime at all for the most part

All of  Hayao Miyazaki's films are amazing... Voices of a Distant Star is a short film (~25 mins) by Makoto Shinkai which is also amazingly good. the.alphy sent me Voices of a Distant Star a while back.. <3

Voices of a Distant Star is actually completely available on YouTube, but it's resolution is not very good and it only has the Japanese version with English subtitles. I have the full DVD if you want it. The music for this OVA is so purty....

I watch Anime, and have a ton downloaded that I've yet to be able to watch, I don't have time to list it all now tho.  I'll get back here and do that eventually.  I tend to think, with a few exceptions, that the subtitled versions are much better, or more accurate and less annoying anyway, lol, but Im a subtitle snob.

lol I'll have to agree with the fact that subbed versions are SOOO much better than the dubbed versions.  The character voices sound completely off from what the original (and i bet what the directors wanted them to sound).  hmmm i guess most recent experience of this would be Gundam Seed Destiny and comparing both dubbed and subbed versions ><''  Just doesn't seem right :P

Oh oh oh!!!!  ANIME!!!!  I love anime!  Woot!

A small list:
Sailor Moon, Digimon, Inu-yasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Wolf's Rain, Blue Seed, Blue Gender, Naruto, Bleach, Code Geass, Soul Taker, Tokyo Babylon, Princess Mononoke, Warrior's of The Wind 80's version Nausicaa of The Valley of the Wind 2000 version, Little Mermaid (yes there was an anime version), Karas, Spirited Away, Wrath of the Ninja, and not to mention yaoi.

There is more to mention...  But, I don't want to sound obsessed or anything.  hehehe  *_*

Yay! Queer anime nerds!

I'm a huge fan of Azumanga Daioh! and Puni Puni Poemi.
I haven't been keeping up with the whole gig, but I used to be hardcore into it ^_^
Last con I went to was '06 Kamikaze con in Houston. Heard of it? I think they changed the name, though...

So, aside from those two, what might your favorites be? Please don't say Naruto...

I still like Pkmn so I can't judge TOO much...

I <3 Escaflowne. It made it's debut in Toronto around the same time that Gundam Wing arrived. But Gundam Wing (and most anime) are impossibly long and the whole collection is never exported here! Escaflowne was awesome.. it was a sweet and short series, but I really enjoyed it. yups.

.hack seems like a really interesting anime, but I never really got into it. It's the one where the characters are immersed in a virtual MMORPG world... <3..

OMG!  I totally forgot to mention .hack//sign, .hack//Roots, and Escaflowne in my list.  haha  Not to mention my love of Gundam Wing...  Oh Trowa how I miss thee!!!  I used Trowa as my original name on Outminds and a pic of Heero and Duo with Heero's gundam in the background for my pic for almost a year.

Yes, Gundam WIng was awesome! I hate that I never got to see the entire series. =( And Karas is amazing! Though, I'm not an anime buff, I just like some of them. I admit that I liked Sailor Moon too...
ANIME!  MY SAFE HAVEN IN THE STORM! *leaps upon*  Ahem.

That aside, none of my major anime loves have been listed, but I've heard of/seen most of those that are.  Which makes me...Well.  Me.  You said you were looking for the manga?  Try http://www.onemanga.com or http://www.mangafox.com !  I LIVE on those sites every Friday night waiting for the latest scanlations of One Piece and Katekyo Hitman Reborn. *_*  It's Wednesdays for Fairy Tail.  Haaahahaha.  THOSE ARE MY MAIN THREE.

I HAVE WATCHED, HOWEVER---Okay this is a short list, for full list check out my myanimelist (http://myanimelist.net/profile/themegaloo) Which...isn't even complete.  Bugger.  One day I'll fix that?  I listed a few in my profile.  Oh just check the list, listing them makes my head spin.

But One Piece, Fairy Tail and Reborn fans, COME TO MEEEEE.

I read/watch waaaaay too much manga & anime. *copies Meg* http://myanimelist.net/profile/prpl_pen  Just look there. It's easier and I am lazy.

Hey I at least TRIED.  I just don't have a very good attention span. D:

I need to watch more Baccano! and start Gintama still.  Oops.

MyAnimeList totally reminds me of Facebook. XD.. I like! The looks slightly different, but the profiles are nice..

I like the manga/anime compatibility bars. lol. Alas, I'm not obsessive enough with anime... =(

MyAnimeList IS a lot like facebook.  Only....it has an actual purpose.  Other than stalking people, that is.  Fantastically useful if you're an avid reader of manga or watcher of anime!  Plus the clubs can be amusing.  And rec's are fun.  And it's useful?  Did I mention that at least three times yet?
I'm confused as to what MyAnimeList is... I checked it out for a couple of minutes, but I'm not entirely sure about it.  Is it supposed to be like Facebook, Myspace, My Yearbook, etc.  Just in the since it's for anime buffs and knowing what one person has seen or read? I'm not quite sure if I am asking that right... heh?

Yes, I had the same questions...
Basically what it is is a way to keep up with what you've read and what you're friends have read.  They have like, everything databased and you just have to look it up and add it.  It's like a little personal library reference?  I know they have sites out there like it to keep track of books you've read, but they aren't typically as well organized as MAL.

It looks a bit like facebook, but the wall and message things are just extra functions to connect with people who share your interests, really.  Mine's not that bad, but if you've seen a lot, it can be hard to keep track of it all!
Oh yes, MyAnimeList is very useful! I keep track of my anime and manga on there. :)

*waves at Meg* Oi, you.

There's so much anime... O_O

*waves back!* Missaface, you contribute so much to the conversation.

Oh sup Watcher, you snuck in there.  Yeah, there is a TON of anime, which you really don't realize at first.  And there's new one's coming out ALL THE TIME.  Kinda fun if you can find a good one just as it's starting and follow it along!
I know. I'm such a wonderful contributer, Meg. I'm also doing about four things at once, so. Also, you forgot the 'i' in Missaface. :|
HUSH  I FIXED IT.  I think it's sticking.
Aw, Meg. <3 You know, it feels later then 1:32AM. More like 4AM or something. Not to get off-topic or anything.

Harro! I think that's why I liked Escaflowne and Gundam Wing (until I realized I'd never finish Gundam Wing.. >_<) so much. I watched them right from their debut in Canada. ^_^

Something must be done about these lengthy forum threads... It feels like I'm scrolling to the ends of the Earth.. ^^" *jots down a note for self*

Haha, sorry about that!  But if you think GUNDAM WING was long, oh man.  That's only 49 episodes!  And then there's Gundam SEED and Gundam 00, but even so, that's stil nothing to say...REBORN which is 89 right now, Prince of Tennis which ended at like 172 plus a bunch of OVAs, Inuyasha which I don't even want to know the length of, Bleach and Naruto are up in the 100's and One Piece.

One Piece manga is currently at 508 chapters, over 50 volumes and the anime is at...over 360 episodes.  I don't keep up with the anime, just the manga.

And I just hit end and scroll up. :D
o man >< can't wait for season 2 of Gundam 00 :P >_< so long till october!!!! T___T
Gundam 00 is actually the one I don't...really know.  I know SEED and Wing to an EXTENT, but I haven't watched all of either [random episodes here and there of Wing and I've actually only watched SEED Destiny, aka the sequel series]  But October will be here before you know it!
Haha, thanks for the info.  I think I am going to join.  I just mentioned to someone last night how I wanted to compile a list of all that I had seen so then I would know for myself.  Oh oh oh, yea... The long ones do get annoying sometimes.  Inu-Yasha I think was at 176 when it ended, which it didn't really end.  She (cause I don't remember her name) just took a break from writing the manga so they couldn't continue with the anime.  And Naruto, well it ended at 200.  But, now they have the Shippuden.  With Gundam, I just watched Gundam Wing.  Never checked out the other Gundams.  Reborn, never heard of that.  Going to have to check it out now.  Hey at least Blood + was only 50 episodes.  But, it was horrifically sad like Chrono Crusade and both of them had horrible ending.  So, they don't count!

I like anime series that are complete? Getting that cliffhanger, to-be-continued ending really sux0rs. >_<" Makes me sad.

Well, apparently I don't keep with things like I should.  The Manga for Inu-Yasha was just recently finished.  Though, it is about 300 chapters passed where the anime left off.  So, it's doubtful that they will ever finish the anime, well anytime soon that is.  Oh and I love My Anime List...  So far I am at 34 that I have finished watching.

Seriously, I have NO LIFE!!!

I really like things that aren't finished, honestly, because that means I get a little more every week!  The anticipation of WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXXXT is awesome.
I love anime!  I don't watch it as much as I used to, I don't have time to anymore.  But I used to watch Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, and a few others.  Recently, I've watched Azumanga Daioh, Strawberry Marshmellow, Those Who Hunt Elves, and some of Excel Saga.  I wish I had more time and money, I went to PortCon Maine this year and couldn't buy anything because I didn't have any money.
Anime North was awesomeness. It's the convention up in Toronto. I went back almost... 4 or 5 years ago? Just once. Amazing. Yups. I should go again next time...

LOL would u consider cosplaying the.watcher? XD >< i've nvr done that =\ nor been to anime north cause ive always missed it ><
What is cosplaying..?
ooo, thats when you dress up in full blown costume of your favourate anime character and prance around showing everyone how awesome u are =3 LOL ... or you can consider it like any other convention when ppl dress up as their fav characters (ex: comic book conventions), except you dress up as your fav anime char ^^
http://myanimelist.net/animelist/A_Seraphim_Moon

Wow!  I am kinda freaked out with myself...  That's alot of anime...  Really!  Thanks alot for letting me know about that site!  Ugh!!!  And there is still some I've not added to the list as of yet.  Sad though, I don't own like 98% of them.  I always watch my anime online, tv, or with friends.

Oh oh oh!!!  COSPLAYING!!!  OMG!!! I would totally do that.  But, you know there is a problem with that...  Cause, you know to do that you generally need to have a convention near by to go to, which I don't. Pfff!  Oh well, maybe one day I can take my obsession further by going to a convention, which could be a very unhealthy thing for me.

And btw, I am lazy... I prefer to watch, lmao!!!  I own one manga and I don't even remember what it is, I think it may be Fruit's Basket, but I am not entirely sure at the moment...  So, please don't kill me, haha!

oooo <3 fruits basket!! ^^ =3 so cute lol hehe getting turned into a zodiac animal whenever a girl touches u XD maybe another reason to stay away from them? LOL jk jk :P
Oh geez, cosplaying? XD I'll look at people in costume, but I don't know about being in a costume myself.. ^^" Plus, it's so much work.. XP
