Taxes >.<
So I just finished filing my tax returns.  And its just left me a little angry and very confused.

First I tried to file using TurboTax but that was going to end up costing me almost $100 and I was not going to pay that so I went and used H&R Block online.  Which took me almost four hours to do.  And I'm pretty sure I majorly screwed up.  Mostly with the Education Credits.  TurboTax let me list my tuition and other expenses and then gave me a credit based on that.  H&R Block only took what was on the form the school sent me which what they claimed they billed me was grossly under what I paid this year.  My dad said it was because what I did this year was on LAST years.  Still there was a HUGE difference between them.  And my school lists ROOM AND BOARD for cost of attendance plus books and supplies.  So... I put in the expenses.  We're a commuter college, but there are expenses that would fall under ROOM AND BOARD.  *Shrugs*  I was so confused.  And still am.  I figure if its wrong, they'll contact me.  Probably more headaches but they could make the thing easier to fill out.

And then I did my state return.  I owed money.  Because AmeriCorps didn't deduct enough.  That sucks, because like... its not actually wages.  And then again, it is.  That form was even more confusing but I think I did it right.

I really hate taxes.  Like, if they could just... make the forms easier?  But that would be the logical thing to do.

Well apparently my forms went through, so I guess I didn't mess them up too badly.  I'm just done with taxes.  Especially income taxes.  I think I'm going to move back to New Hampshire, at least I don't have to deal with it there.
Where in NH are you from?
You dont have to deal with state tax here, but federal taxes won't go away! :-(

If you did something wrong, the IRS would have let you know. Did you at least get a good return? Or did it even out with you owing?
I'm from the Nashua area.   I ended up owing North Carolina money on my taxes.  Which just really sucked.  I was making under $5 an hour and having to pay more than what was taken out already just doesn't sit well with me.
