After reading Monster Kody/ Shanyika Shakur's book Monster, I had a revelation, but a dangerous one at that, It is not dangerous in the fact that it is violent or paranoid, but in the manner that it will change thinking of all communities of the world. This revelation is:
   A community's turmoil and social unnacceptance is not of impact on how people not within that community act towards the community but how a community treats itself. Outside forces have very little determination in the outcome of that own communty's wellbeing.

   What this idea means is that we as a queer community determine our own fate, just as the Muslims, Christians, whites, blacks, and another other group in the world. Some examples I have of this are:

-A great deal of the black community in major cities commit black-on-black violence due to gang membership or relation. While much prejudice is still directed towards the black community and much has been done to stop this prejudice, their infighting still undermines what rights their ancestors fought to bring them, as police/government hostility is directed towards these gangs. The undermine what they have without any influence from outside forces to influence them to do this.

-Muslims are not largely accepted in America, I believe, not by any extremist acts, but by the perpetual battle between Shia and Sunni Muslims. This infighting has caused the Western world to find them barbaric in killing their own kin. This gives a great majority of influence towards how Muslims are barbaric and not because of outside forces, but themselves.

-Conservative Christian politicians passing sanctity of marriage acts despite they themselves have multiple marriages, divorces, and affairs. They are tearing themselves apart, not queers.

-The queer community with promiscuous sex and phobia to their own fellows is ripping us to shreds. We cannot organize the strongest until infighting and self-destruction stops.

Humans fix the blame rather than the problems which plague their communities. Evangelists blame gays, gays blames evangelists. Blacks blame whites, Shia blames Sunni. We fix the blame when our own problems are within.
