Prop H8 ruled unconstitutional.

Prop H8 ruled unconstitutional.
Round three to the good guys and two more rounds to go folks.

Yay~! This morning Cameron told me Prop 8 was overruled in California.  :) Now, only 43 states to go, I believe. -.-"

This will most likely see the appeals court and then the Supreme Court of the US (SCOTUS). But each victory slays state and local laws, if the SCOTUS rules in our favour then these laws become unenforceable though the states may leave them on the books in case the ruling is ever overturned.
Standard operating procedure in many states. Utah and several other states still have laws against abortion which become useless due to Roe v  Wade but is that ever gets overturned those laws are in effect immediately.
Anyway the next two levels will have a lot of things going on.
Well... alright then... ._.

and we just got another female on the supreme court, hopefully when it gets up there we have enough friends to get through.

this is just a ficade

Turns out the ruling may only affect California, if the appeals court rules that those representing Prop 8 proponents don't have legal grounds. In that case, it could be a win for CA but won't affect the rest of us.
It would be Call and several other Western States which are also under the 9th.
