Just thought that I would see if anyone else around here has tried to explore using twitter to stay in touch with one another?
It is a great way to send quick short updates for a group of activists etc. You can even do it from your cell.
Modern technology is really allowing us to stay in touch in ways that just were not available once upon a time. This builds community so well.

I've wondered if we should get a twitter for OpenMynds, though I wouldn't want a personal account for myself...

It's basically my Facebook-ish status update except without all the Facebook.

I think that a twitter for the new OM would be great. Anything to increase the connectivity of the community really. I'm sure that mine isn't very interesting to anyone but I am on there as Robarton.  I am now following the.watcher or actually James_an.

We created a blog space and we'll prob have a twitter once we get the new design done. :)

 Sounds cool. Tell about the blogspace! BTW I am following twitter and facebook status reports on a new app called tweetdeck which lets me see this easily while i do other things and not have to keep stopping by to check.

I'm not that into Twitter lol. I've not posted much to it yet, since I've been busy. But it's at blog.openmynds.com. However, IE doesn't render it correctly yet...

 One of the things that you can do there is have a search term like LGBT and when something is posted with that in it you will see it. It is a great way to find out quickly what is going on across the nation with activists, then you can connect to those people and enhancve communication. I like it.
