this is the question i am stuck on

"what would happen to the human body if we had no skin'

seems simple enough but I am stuck past the "we would have no protection and all our fluids would come out'

well an uneducated answer:

-We would die due to bleeding out
-If we weren't to die, due to our exposed tissue and cells we would get infections much easier
-You wouldnt be able to blink, therefore you couldnt sleep and you couldn't do whatever else blinking helps you do lol. so your eyes would certainly suffer severly
-You wouldnt be able to sit or stand, you'd have to survive by floating around, only thats impossible.
-necrotizing fasciitis(google it its a flesh eating bacteria and there are a few cases of people who have it and what has happened)
-Ummmm.....idk anymore lol...hope this helped...
Oooh this is a fun question :D

Ok, so the skin (or integumentary system) is the largest organ of our bodies. Thus, it has some seriously important functions.

One is the regulation of body temperature. If we didn't have skin, we would either freeze to death or die from over heating.

Naturally, protection is a big part of our skin's job. If we didn't have skin, our internal organs would be subjected to abrasions, bacterial infection, dehydration, and UV radiation exposure (from the sun).

Excretion is also a duty of the skin. Without skin, how would we sweat?

Vitamin D synthesis occurs through the skin. Without skin, our bones would be brittle and frail. When the sunlight is absorbed through our skin, it converts cholesterol into Vitamin D (from enzymes in the liver and kidneys).
Thanks to you both, I had very similar answers just wanted to bounce it off people before I hand my assignment in next week.
