so, tech school...

so, tech school...
so tech school is interesting... actually so far it's REALLY boring. i got washed back a week because my top secret security clearance stuff isn't done yet XD so i'm SUPPOSED to start this friday, but we'll see how that goes.

right now i'm what's called a SAT or student awaiting training, and all we do it sit around all day and clean the squadron, and when it's clean we pretend to clean it more so our MTLs don't get mad at us for just sitting around. we do PT on monday wednesday and friday, today sucked ass because on monday we did the air force pt evaluation, then yesterday i went to the gym and lifted some weights, and today sgt C decided we were going to do the army pt evaluation... so i'm still sore from the past two day and we'll just say that my score was a little lacking, but my army friend said i got like a 230 on it, which i guess isn't bad. but since i'm in a spec ops squadron i need to be better than everyone else, bleh.

hopefully though i will be starting class on friday, which would mean i wouldn't have to do pt, cuz i really need a couple days to recover now.

I'd like to be the first to say Im wicked proud of what you're doing :-)

I dont have much to say about the schooling besides the fact that most classes and schools tend to be boring...well when required...ones you take out of interest are different but yea.

Looking forward to an update!

so i'm in florida now... i thought florida was supposed to be warm...

i passed my preliminary course with flying colors. i passed all the test the first time and only missed one on each of them, except the bomb suit, you can't really get anything wrong on that or you fail it...

so right now i'm just waiting for my classes to start again... weeee.... and this time it's going to be about two months, bleh. but these are not like your average college classes. we have about 14 hour days, and next month the schedule doesn't like allow time for anything but class and sleep... our school is one of the most mentally taxing in the military, with one of the highest attrition rates. but it is also one of the most rewarding, so it's worth it. plus we get to be trained on the berret 50 cal rifle, hehehe, lots of fire power, and a bunch of other cool weapons. the top secret clearance thing is a pain in the butt though.

Keep up the good work. My sons best friend just got back from the field for a couple of weeks and then he heads back to the Kyber pass. He stopped by the studio while I was teaching and just hung out and listened in as a little kid took a music lesson. It seemed to be what he needed to do to kind of remember his own childhood and music lessons and all of that. He got off of the plane after two days in transit, his mom picked him up and took him to her house and he grabbed the keys and came straight here. We've known him all of his life. It was nice to see him and I know that we are proud of him.
Keep up the good work and know that some of us are very proud of you.
thank you rob. i love hearing stories like that.
