Howdy,
I just signed up for this place. Seemed like a good idea at the time. I need an active online community of some sort to, well, do what people do in forums (whatever THAT may be).
So, I guess I should introduce myself:
I am Beth. You can call me BK -- if you like. I'm a 22yo residing in quiet, no-so-humble, run-o-the-mill suburban Houston, Tx. Occasionally, I drive into town to make guest appearances at work. I'm a doorman *cough*bouncer*cough* and freelance bartender at the resident dyke bar, Chances. When you come to Houston, drop in; maybe I'll put in a good word for you.
Personally, I concider myself to be a bit more of a nerd than one would assume from first glance. I enjoy reading HP while lounging in my boxers. If I'm not seeing what Voldy is up to, I spend evening playing video games and practicing sets for a little small-time band a friend and I have procured. I like to study. Enough said. Currently I am working toward my CVTL, so if you have sick puppies and kitties, lemmie doctor 'em up! I also enjoy painting and I am working on several pieces for an upcoming art show in town. I am into Japanese pop art styles and if you wanna educate me on what you can do with a pen/pencil/painbrush/quill/marker, I'll listen intensely with my eyes.
I like quiet, intellectual individuals. I respect the opinion of the shallow because they are the driving force behind our economy. Sushi has an unnatural power over me and I will do anything to obtain a decent spider roll. Anything. I can knit. I believe in unicorns and grass green is the best color in the universe. My favorite band is w-inds. Look 'em up and you'll surprise yourself. I watch Nick Jr. for entertainment and I still collect Pokemon cards. If being an adult child were a ligit hobby, I would be more inclined to share more of my quirks...since it is still frowned upon, I'll just say this: you're a meanie head poo face. :D
Be honest, not stupid!
~BK
PS: Be happy; I will.

Welcome, welcome! XD
The shampoo photo certainly set the mood. XP I've been wanting to spike hair, but alas I can only seem to make it spike with shampoo... =(
You might have fallen in love with our previous, predominantly-grass-green site theme. There are remnants in the right side bar and whatnot. (I complained that it was too green and we found this wonderfully dark and yet colourful look.)
And then I looked up w-inds and was surprised. =O I really liked Hanamuke, but a lot of the other songs were much too poppy for me.. ^^" I prefer ballads with the random heavy rock song here and there. Your Nick Jr. reminds me of my cartoon Saturday mornings when I was younger. New cartoons don't seem to interest me much, but the older ones, I'll remember forever (Beast Wars, Reboot, Sailor Moon, Captain Planet, Daria, etc.).
And adult childhood is definitely in the realm of legit hobbies here! XP So share away!
