Mr. Fox returns!
The title says it all. I haven't been on outminds partially because it is gone, but also the internet has been disconnected all summer. It still is, but my mother's laptop apparantly picks up the neighbor's wireless connection, so all is well. For those who don't know me, my name is Adrian, I am a sixteen year old bisexual transsexual (that's a mouthful!) who is about to start his junior year of high school. I enjoy playing piano and saxophone, learning languages (French, and I also start Latin next year), knitting, listening to music, and reading old books. I came out to my parents as trans around February, but my father still thinks it is a phase. However, they don't hate me or anything, so I do not regret coming out in the slightest. Well, that's all for now.

Hey Adrian!
Glad to hear your parents are alright with your coming out. Mine are coming around; it's been... 6 years (plus or minus) since I came out to them.. XD And they're still coming around, still hoping it's a phase rather than believing it's a phase. I don't think they'll ever stop hoping.. hehe..
Anyway.. welcome! Hopefully, you've got good wireless reception from your neighbours! We went down to visit our relatives who don't have Internet and ended up using my brother's laptop at the very corner of the house where we could pickup the neighbour's signal. Not the most comfortable setup, but we got Internet!
And omg.. classical piano or more modern stuff? I play piano too.. ^_^ I learned from all that classical stuff. Good stuff, but I'm slowly taking that experience and learning modern pieces too.

I would not mind my parents reaction at all if it were to my sexual orientation, but with transsexuality, a lack of acceptance precludes transition, unfortunately. Oh well, I am still loved.
Oh, Jee-bus! Chords in modern music are sometimes ridiculous! And the runs are sometimes impossible. Lots of practise left, eh?
I find classical music quite a bit more regular, but my preference is always for those Romantic period pieces full of drama and flair. Chords there aren't all that easy either.. XD But crazy chords make the music so much richer and fuller. Me likes. ^_^
Chopin was my favourite for a while, until I managed to play a few Rachminov pieces. They're hard, but omg-beautiful. Rachmaninov pieces usually have those really grandiose sections contrasted by quiet things or impish things.. <3
And then jazz? The timing and rhythm is all over the place. It's as if the written sheet music will never do jazz justice. The nuance of rhythm there will never quite make it to print very well. Either that, or I end up having to decipher unconventional or obscure notation. Fun times...

I definitely understand about the 'phase' I told my dad I think it was 2 years ago now and he still talks to me about finding the right woman, getting married, and having kids. Well, the getting married and having a family part sounds all good to me but I don't quite think a woman would suit me. haha I may not knit, but I do crochet! ~_^
