Yes, we have straight as an option. Silly us. When we first launched, we didn't even have lesbian as an option. Who could blame us, being two gay guys. XD
A good deal of additions and tweaks have been made by feedback, so always feel free to critique and comment. We can always use another pair of eyes to find issues and another mind to think of new ways OpenMynds could look at. ^_^

Yes, we included "straight" as an option before adding "lesbian" and "queer." I thought "gay" covered all homosexuals, my mistake! So yes, invite straight friends!
I think I'd like this place to be a community, first and foremost - a comfortable place to talk and be yourself and ask candid (or non-candid) questions and be honest without worry. I think the original OM had a lot of those elements and that was what made it a great place to be.
And of course, you need your daily dose of fun and silly. ^_^
