I'm Adi, and I'm, quite obviously, new here :) I'm gay and out and loving it. I'm on the younger side, admittedly, but I consider myself to be rather mature for my age, and I do have a very strong sense of who I am...and know clear and well that being lesbian will never define me. Anyway, I'm hoping to stick around this community for quite some time, but we'll have to see how that goes...haha. Some backdrop:
The original domain is still down down down - but I managed to regain one of the domains we owned as a part of the outminds enterprise. At one point in the past, I owned all three domains, OUTMINDS.COM, OUTMINDS.ORG and OUTMINDS.NET. As many of you know, Dena coded the site in coldfusion and I managed the systems side of things. When we went our separate ways, OUTMINDS was horribly horribly neglected - and for that I apologize sincerely. I foolishly turned the domain name over to Dena in good faith, thinking that she would continue the legacy of OUTMINDS. That was not to be, and within months after turning the domain over to her, the site folded and has been down pretty much ever since - much to the dismay of all the WONDERFUL OUTMINDERS out there.
I want to thank the owners of http://www.OpenMynds.com for keeping the dream and community alive. Your passion is evidenced in this beautiful site, which started under the shadow of outminds folding and has blossomed into a very beautiful community in its own right. I hope we will continue to work together to create these safe places for LGBTQSIO (etc etc) folks to enjoy! :)
As one of the original owners of OUTMINDS, I am making it my utmost duty to restore and honor the original mission of OUTMINDS, especially in this rough time of news reports of young people turning to suicide after being bullied and/or outed. Surviving my own suicide attempt at 18 was much of the impetus behind the creation of OUTMINDS and it is with that mission in mind that I reopen OUTMINDS under one of its original domains.
I do have a backup copy of all the data from OUTMINDS up until the time I turned the domain over to Dena. I will be slowly converting that data from its original format (coldfusion) to php. In keeping with the passion, mission, policies of OUTMINDS, I retain ownership of that data and will not sell or give it to anyone else. It will only be used for the purpose of restoring OUTMINDS to life. Come see for yourself as we continue to add content and welcome new and former members!

yup that's right, nick is engaged. nick is enormously excited too. i finally realized there's been one person in my life that just fits me, and i've been too blind to see that i was completely in love with her. she's been the only person i've been able to think about for a long time. i'm just happy with her, she's perfect for me and wants the things i want. she even wants kids :D

I know I haven't been on here pretty much at all since... well, ever. And it makes me sad. Life has been insane, and I miss you people all so much.
So much has changed lately..
I did something insane, I met a girl. online.. oh yeah, I said i would never do that again. Well, this time is different. And I actually just moved in with her. So I'm living in colorado now with my girlfriend and her family. It's pretty awesome. They've taken me and my ass hole of a dog in. Which is amazing. Things were going to shit back in washington anyways. I had to get out one way or another, and I'm so thankful for these people now.
Right now I'm working my ass off looking for a job, I only have one more paycheck coming from home and don't want to live off these people. But as soon as life gives me time to breathe for a minute I plan to come back around more often. Cuz I'd like to keep in touch with you all much better.
I hope life is all amazing for you all.
